Campus Housing and Residence Halls

In partnership with other university departments, we continually enhance our facilities, services and programs in order to provide a safe, inclusive living community and to create learning opportunities that support the holistic growth of each resident.

Ask any current Torero resident or the scores of alumni who once called Alcalá Park home—they will tell you their number #1 reason for living on-campus is/was the sense of community that comes from living among your peers. Nothing can compare to the fun and excitement of living in an environment where the learning never stops and lasting memories are waiting to be made.

2018 Intersession Housing

  • Intersession Move In: Tuesday, January 2 at 10am.
  • Intersession Move Out: Wednesday, January 24 at noon.
  • Returning Student Spring Move In: Sunday, January 28 at 10am.
  • New First Year and Transfer Student Spring Move In begins: Wednesday, January 24 at 10am.
  • New International Student Spring Move In: Monday, January 22 at 10am.

Any resident that is requesting housing during intersession must submit an Intersession Housing Application, which will be available November 1 at 10am. You do not need to be taking courses or working on campus to be considered for on-campus housing during intersession. However, you must be a student in good standing through student conduct and be registered for spring classes.

If you are living in a “continuous housing” area (Manchester Village, University Terrace Apartments, Presidio Terrace Apartments, or San Antonio De Padua Apartments-non-freshman status residents only), you do not need to complete this application. However, you do need to notify Resident Staff of your occupancy dates during Christmas break and Intersession. Your RA or CD will provide you more information on how to do this.

To learn more about the intersession sign-up process and rates please visit the Intersession Housing webpage.

Please note - If you are a current Fall resident on-campus, you DO NOT need to complete the Spring housing application. You have already agreed to the full academic year housing terms and conditions, and will be staying in your current room assignment for the spring semester.

If you already know a specific roommate and/or room that you would like to move into, please email with your request as soon as possible. While Residential Life does not guarantee building or occupancy type, we will do our best to accommodate your request if mutually agreed upon by the other residents in that room/apartment and submitted in a timely manner. If you do not request a specific room, you will be placed in an available room that best fits your preferences that you list on the application.

Keep in mind that if you need housing during intersession that you will need to complete a separate intersession application which will also be available November 1 at 10AM. The daily rate for intersession is $35 for a shared room or $43 for a single room not to exceed $400.
