Counseling Center Named Agency of the Year
Congratulations to the Counseling Center! The Practicum Program at the Counseling Center was informed that Alliant International University selected USD as the "Agency of the Year" from all the programs in the county that provide training to their students. This past year Veronica Guerra and Blair Buckman participated in the program providing a range of services to our students under the supervision of the professional staff and our pre-doctoral interns. We wish Blair and Veronica the best of luck as they complete their practicum year.
2012 Early Career Award for Contribution to LGBT Counseling Psychology Winner Announced
The American Psychological Association's Society of Counseling Psychology has announced that Justin Gibson in the Counseling Center is the recipient of their "2012 Early Career Award for Contribution to LGBT Counseling Psychology." This award recognizes Justin's clinical and liaison work with LGBT populations at the University at Albany and UC Berkeley, which he is continuing here at USD. Please join us in congratulating Justin on this honor!
