Residential Life Transitions and Staffing Updates
Congratulations to the newest Community Director, Will Andrews. Will will be joining us on July 2 from St. Louis University, where he was a Resident Director for the past three years.
Last Wednesday (June 13), the Residential Life summer staff, including Community Directors and Resident Assistants, kicked off the summer in the Manchester Village Courtyard with Wiener Wednesday and the 2nd Annual "Guac-Off"! Just over 40 summer residents from Manchester Village, the SAP's and the UTA's were in attendance with the Res Life staff for grilled hot dogs with the choice of ketchup, cheese, chili, and other various condiments. A few Public Safety officers made an appearance as well!
The highlight of the evening was the 2nd Annual "Guac-Off", a competition of the best homemade guacamole recipes, in which all in attendance were able to taste and vote for their overall favorite batch! With six contestants this year, competition was fierce! When the dust settled (and the votes were tallied), two of our summer residents took home 1st and 2nd place!
Thanks to John Godfrey and the Summer RA staff for a great start to the summer, and thanks to all who participated in the "Guac-Off"!
Please check out the new CHR@USD events for the summer. There are many ways to keep active and engaged in the USD community throughout the summer and CHR would love to see you at one of our events!
