Welcome Cory Immele
Student Life Facilities is happy to welcome Cory Immele as our new Events Coordinator.
Cory brings great event experience in college unions, operations, scheduling, and much more. If his name looks familiar, you may have worked with him in his current position at the KIPJ. His first day with SLF is Monday, May 6th. Please stop by to welcome him to Student Affairs next week!
As everyone is aware, the Orientation Planning Committee has been working hard to create "Torero Countdown", the redesigned comprehensive orientation experience for incoming freshmen. The Torero Countdown orientation experience begins immediately after the deposit deadline of May 1st and continues through summer until students begin classes in the fall semester. Torero Countdown culminates with OLÉ! Weekend (August 31-September 3). The OLÉ! Weekend schedule is taking shape and continuing to develop at a rapid pace. Please check out the Torero Countdown website (http://www.sandiego.edu/orientation/) for a general sense of the program, the Torero Countdown Freshman Checklist that deposited students are now receiving, and the OLÉ! Weekend schedule-at-a-glance.
50/50 Raffle Tickets
Raffle tickets for the annual Employee Picnic are now available for purchase at the Vice President for Student Affairs' office suite in Hahn UC 232. Raffle tickets are two for $1 and 12 for $5.
Half of the money collected will go towards CHR@USD program funding during the 2013-2014 year and the other half will go to the winner of the raffle.
Please note, the location of the picnic has been moved to the Manchester Field while the Valley Field undergoes repairs for summer camps and conferences. Transportation from the main campus will be provided to lessen the parking impact.
