Student Affairs Surprise Flash Mob
Have you ever found yourself wanting to break out into song and dance in the middle of the work day? Are you exceptionally talented at clapping and stomping your feet at the same time? Are you looking for one more opportunity to actively live a healthy life? If you answered YES to any of these questions, then you should probably participate in the Division of Student Affairs Flash Mob!!! We will be wowing the crowd at the upcoming Community Picnic on Wednesday, May 29 with an easy, fun, and memorable Flash Mob. Remember, this is a Student Affairs SURPRISE at the Community Picnic, so please try to contain your excitement to keep the Flash Mob within the division.
More details will be announced next week, but know that people of all abilities are welcome to participate! The choreography will be taught via video that you can watch and practice in your spare time. Encourage your office mates and even any guests you'll be bringing to the picnic to join! We will have a live rehearsal on the Tuesday prior to the picnic (TBA), but again, the moves will be super easy!
If you are someone who is confident you can learn the choreography quickly and stand in the front row, then please consider being a Flash Mob Section Leader. Contact Liberty at firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer for Section Leader.
Again, all who are interested in participating, look out for more info next week (announced via SA listserv).

USD Recognized by the San Diego Blood Bank
In April 2013, the University of San Diego was recognized by the San Diego Blood Bank and named "Partners for Life" for surpassing the 2012 collection goal.
Thank you to all USD community donors, the Parking Services Office, and the USD sponsoring groups: AS Homecoming, CHR, IHI, M.E.Ch.A., NRTOC, Gamma Delta, American Medical Student Association, Minority Association of Pre-Health Students, and Torero Program Board.
The San Diego Blood Bank and the American Red Cross collected a total of 566 pints of blood touching 1,700+ lives. Out of 24 drives and 602 donors, 128 were first-time donors. Each pint of blood can help as many as three people.
Please contact Toñis Manriquez if you would like to in sponsor a Blood Drive for 2013-2014 Academic Year.
