Holy Week at the Immaculata

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, the week immediately preceding Easter. Holy Week builds through the Triduum, a name which refers to Holy Thursday, Good Friday, the Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday. The commemoration and celebration of Jesus’ passion and resurrection make Holy Week the most important time of the church year.

Since USD will not be in session during Holy Week, those who will be on campus are most welcome and encouraged to attend the liturgies held in The Immaculata. The schedule is as follows:

Palm Sunday: Sunday, March 24th 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.
Mass of the Lord’s Last Supper: Thursday, March 28th, 7:00 p.m.
Good Friday: Friday, March 29th, Stations of the Cross at 12 noon; Celebration of the Lord’s Passion at 7:00 p.m.
Easter Vigil: Saturday, March 30th, 8:00 p.m.
Easter Sunday: Sunday, March 31st, 7:30, 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.

The daily Masses in Founders Chapel will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week at 12:15 p.m.

The program offers $2,000 for students to develop their skills in framing social issues and creating innovative approaches to addressing them. Learn more about the program here.
